The Facebook page says "Bar. Shop. Dog.". This three-room micro-pub and antiques shop has a 1940s / wartime feel, with no signage on the street, antiques (some more valuable than others!) on the vintage furniture, and Vera Lynn on the radio. The first room has a few seats and usually a massive Irish wolfhound on the floor, while the bar occupies the middle room, and stocks a range of spirits, bottles of St Peter's beers and a cask or two of ale. The rear room of the three has more seating, and a roof which lets the light in, making a very pleasant semi-outside area.

Originally named after the Colman's mustard factory's steam tug of bygone years, re-furbished and re-opened in 2012 as a sister pub to the Fat Cat and Fat Cat Brewery Tap (as was, now Brewery Tap), under the same ownership, and in the same style. About a mile and a half from the centre of the city, the pub serves several of the Fat Cat brewery's ales, and guests from around the UK, together with continental beers and real ciders. There is a small TV to the rear of the main bar, a large car park and terraces to the front and rear, the latter being heated. Home-made rolls are available, with roasts on Sundays (September - April) and meals most Friday evenings.

Popular and good-value pub with a music theme, including a snare drum table, cymbal and drum lights, and a full drum kit, plus murals on the walls of the smoking area / beer garden. Close to Carrow Road, home of Norwich City FC, the Rose Inn stands on the corner of Queens Road and City Road; just a short walk from Norwich city centre. The latest refurb was in 2017, when Dawn and Carl returned to run the pub, and the feel is "like your own - very funky - front room" with wood floors, comfy sofas, board games and cards. The owners passion for different beer shows in the five real ales and six (key)keg beers from the some of the most exciting microbreweries around the country, plus several real ciders and gins. Beer, cider and gin festivals are planned and tap takeovers are regularly run, and food is available every day except Monday, with curries from Roti and burgers from Paul's Butchers on the Market Tuesday to Saturday, and sausages and mash on Sunday - all with vegetarian and some vegan options.

Only a short distance from the football ground, this busy pub, which has been East Anglian Pub of the Year, is now a Bateman's hostelry. The main front bar has two large tables in the bay windows, and the bar features a row of ten handpumps, serving a selection of Bateman's beers plus several interesting beers from around the country, and a real cider. To the right of the bar is another seating area, and behind it there's a conservatory with several more tables, which gives onto a walled patio area. Sports are shown, usually unobtrusively, on two TVs, and of course the pub gets very busy when Norwich are at home. Roasts are served on Sundays, at other times feel free to bring your own from the nearby Chinese, Indian and chippy - plates, cutlery and condiments are provided by the pub.

Deceptively large multi-level pub with an attached cafe-bar (open lunchtimes only). Up to a dozen ales from micros around the country are stocked, including the house beer brewed by Coors. Popular with shoppers and office workers during the day and the younger set in the evening. The real name of the pub is the Gardeners Arms, but it is far better known as the Murderer's (note the possessive, not plural!) since a 19C landlord was convicted of murdering his wife. 2015 winner of the UK Sports Pub of the Year award, after winning the accolade for the East Anglian Sports Pub of the year on a number of occasions. An interesting and historic pub overlooking the city centre Market Place, with rooms on four or five different levels. The pub was originally named after Field Marshall Garnet Wolseley, a celebrated army officer who served in Burma and the Crimean War. There are usually two or three changing beers, supplied by local breweries such as Lacon's Mr Winter's, Moon Gazer and Shortts, plus a selection of craft beers. No food is served, but you're welcome order Brick pizza from next door. Originally one of over twenty pubs on the market, this sole survivor boasts some excellent views, with a permanent exhibition of photographs of historic Norwich from the George Plunkett collection.

A large and friendly local pub close to the shops in the Golden Triangle, with a number of seating areas inside and out, serving an interesting variety of ales from local breweries, with Wolf's Golden Jackal, Norfolk Brewhouse's Moon Gazer, and Greene King's London Glory on tap most of the time, as well as two or three constantly changing beers from all over the country (note that keg beers are sometimes listed on the blackboard). Customers are encouraged to try before they buy and a full pint is assured by the use of over-sized pint glasses, as recommended by CAMRA, but rarely offered. The pub is dog friendly and is proud to remain one of the more traditional pubs in Norwich, by, in the words of the landlord " steadfastly refusing to offer cooked food to our clientele or becoming a restaurant with a licence on the side". Sports shown on TV but the screens do not dominate (except in one small area!). There is also a pleasant pergola-covered patio to one side of the pub.

Popular pub in one of the city's oldest and trendiest areas near the Norwich Arts Centre. Taken over by Grain Brewery in 2010 and completely refurbished, it is now a stylish brewery tap, offering four or five of the brewery's ales at all times, with the occasional guest (including fleeting appearances from Tindall's!). The two-bar split-level interior is fairly small, with wooden chairs and tables, and a roaring log fire in winter. The large Mediterranean-style courtyard garden is a fine place to while away an afternoon or evening. Excellent cocktails and spirits are also available, along with Vicky's special sausage pie, and barbecues in summer.

Cosy 17th century city corner pub, which was extended at least twice into neighbouring buildings in the last thirty years, and has been completely refurbished up-market a few years ago. The original pub is now the main bar, with most of the seating in the extended areas. Up to six well-kept ales are served from around the country, the pub having apparently been released from the Greene King tie, alongside craft beers and a good range of spirits, including gin from the on-site the distillery. May close somewhat earlier than 12.30 on weekdays if quiet!

An extremely popular public house with a staggering range of real nearly 30 ales, that has twice been selected as CAMRA's National Pub of the Year. The pub stocks about fifteen regular beers, including many from the Fat Cat Brewery range, a dozen or more guest beers from around the country, covering all the styles from session pale ales to dark and strong stouts, a good range of real ciders, and a number of foreign beers, both on draught and in bottle. Keg versions of the Fat Cat beers are also often available. The long single bar is festooned with handpumps and beer fonts, with plenty of standing room to the front, and two seating areas at either end of the pub. The tiled floor and wood paneling, bar and screens are typical 'proper pub' decor, but are complemented by a huge range of local brewery and pub signs and adverts going back decades. Great value basic rolls are served on a 'while they last' basis, with excellent pork pies as a backup

Closed, reopening in September 2021. Grade II*-listed building refurbished during 2015 in distressed industrial style, now a brewhouse and restaurant with an eclectic food menu. The bar and micro-brewery face St Andrews St, while the restaurant has views of the ancient St Andrews Hall, home of the Norwich Beer Festival. Six handpumps dispense mostly house beers. Wensum Ale is gluten-free, with a couple of local guests or seasonal specials and sometimes a cider/perry, supplemented by a good range of 'craft' beers. Upstairs there are function rooms which can be hired, feature board games and views of the brewery fermentation tanks.

Friendly and comfortable corner pub on the corner of Colegate and Duke Street, hosting a Sunday night quiz, bar billiards league, and regular live music. Excellent menu of three or four home-cooked dishes served daily. Pickled onions on the bar, a proper coffee machine, and an eclectic selection of music played at just the right volume (audible but unobtrusive). Historically one of the few pubs which still served real ale in the late 70's and early 80's, when run by famous landlord Peter Turner. The larger front bar has plenty of wood an mirrors and natural light, and behind the bar to the left is a smaller mainly seating area, which leads to a small patio at the rear. There are also a few tables in fornt of the pub on the wide pavement.

One of the city's premier real ale establishments offering a wide selection of ales either on hand pump or from a small tap room which can be seen from the bar. It is a friendly and welcoming community pub with many nooks and crannies. An interesting feature is a red-brick, Second World War Air Raid Shelter, which is accessed via a trap door and down a winding staircase. No food served, but excellent value homemade meat pies are available, or you can order your takeaway to be delivered to the pub and they will supply plates and cutlery. BBQ at weekends throughout the Summer, and an annual Beer Festival in August.

The Louis has a traditional old-fashioned British pub feel. Four real ales are always available in the Grade II-listed building, which dates in parts from the 15th century. In addition there are various flavours of Lilleys Cider which are rotated weekly, a range of gins, including three local blends, and a choice of wines, cocktails, vodkas, rums and whisky. Until recently the pub was known as Take Five but has now reverted to its more familiar name. The man behind the name, Louis Marchesi, founded the Round Table Great Britain and Ireland in 1927 and held its meetings in this very building, which was renamed in his honour in 1976. The building has a history going back hundreds of years, having one of the city’s oldest crypts still in use, which can be used for many kinds of event. There is also a large function room upstairs, which was once the meeting room for the Round Table, and has a small 'patio' terrace at the rear, for private use when there is a function on, and used as a smoking area when the pub is open.

The pub is popular with visitors and the kitchen offers a great selection of meals made with locally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with a room downstairs as well as a big screen that regularly shows major sporting events. Just the place to watch the boats go by.

A traditional two-bar city pub which has been a mandatory stop on the Norwich real ale trail since 2005, with its 14 handpumps, mostly serving beers from Norfolk, plus a few selected guests such as Three Blind Mice, Green Jack, and Derby Brewing. There are also two local ciders (one occasionally replaced by a perry), plus a large range of bottled European beers, but no keg beers at all. Twice CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year, there's no food provided except snacks and (very good) pork pies, but there are plenty of local takeaways, and plates and cutlery can be provided. Local eggs and honey are usually on sale. The pub also supports two teams in the local bar billiards league. Owned since 2013 by Stephen and Lesley George, also owners of the Humpty Dumpty Brewery, the range of beers remains eclectic, and only rarely includes more than one of their beers. Previously owned for nine years by Jon Smith and Roland Coomber, who converted it from a bikers pub into the destination real-ale pub it remains today. The 'main' bar is at the back of the pub, with a side entrance in the courtyard.

A friendly and welcoming traditional single-bar corner local with a variety of changing ales from the smaller breweries, usually including one from Lacons. The pub has a clean and bright bar area which gives a spacious feel, plus a pleasant and quiet enclosed courtyard garden area at the rear. Open Mic events are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Quality snacks are available, and takeaway food can be brought in. Previously (until 2015) a Bateman's pub, the Leopard was bought and completely refurnished in 2014. The bar was extended and moved, and underfloor heating and a new cellar added, and the range of beers expanded greatly, to include up to six real ales and the better-quality lagers.

The pub was rebuilt in 1927 as part of a road widening scheme and the front bar still retains the half height wooden wall panelling from this time. This room also has an unusual pub feature namely a double bar back. The wooden shelves directly behind the counter hold the glasses, through a doorway is a near identical bar back that holds the spirits and the till. The former Smoke Room to the rear was extended in 1965 and houses a pool table.

A community local with eight real ales, conveniently situated just to the south of Sewell Park, the pub has three separate areas: the original front and rear bars plus a newly-refurbished area leading to a covered and heated terraced patio which is very popular, and is used for summer barbecues. The pub holds an annual beer festival in July and supports three cricket teams as well as a golf society. Wine and beer tasting evenings are held occasionally. Bar snacks including locally-sourced pork pies, scotch eggs and sausage rolls are available daily, plus freshly-made coffee, hot chocolate and tea.

Adjacent to the Fat Cat Brewery, many of whose beers are available most of the time, this welcoming watering hole serves a wide range of quality real ales, alongside a range of real ciders and craft and bottled beers, as well as running a bookshop/club for the customers. Loaded fries, burgers and other hot meals and snacks are available. The large and airy main bar features a distinctive solid oak bar top, and has plenty of seating and a small stage at one end, where regular live music events are held. Old brewery and beer adverts and other brewery paraphernalia decorate the walls and roof space, where you'll also find a working set of traffic lights, which indicate whether the bar is open or not! The pub has two outside seating areas: a large expanse of grass at the front, open to the road, and an enclosed and covered patio and garden at the rear. There's cycle parking at the front, and a small car park. Built in the 1970s as the Wherry, the pub was bought and significantly refurbished in 2005 by Colin Keatley, as the second in the Fat Cat group, and subsequently sold to long-term landlords Mark and Laura White in 2020. The Artichoke is a 1930s flint building, originally decorated in the Brewers Tudor style, with two circular bars with cone-shaped roofs, giving the pub its name, original Young's, Crawshay & Young's windows, parquet flooring and a long solid wood bar. Bought and significantly but sensitively refurbished by the owner of Golden Triangle brewery in summer 2018, the bar now features eight handpumps, including two or three Golden Triangle beers, a great selection of craft beers, and real cider in bottles. Food is provided by XO Kitchen, and there's a popular quiz on Tuesday evenings.

A large single-room pub with a lovely enclosed patio garden at the rear. Reopened August 2020. Beers are usually a mix of National CAMRA award winners and local ales, with Greene King Old Golden Hen a regular, and real cider also available. Unusually the pub stocks a wide range of bottled beers from the UK, in addition to Belgian, plus an extensive range of wines and whiskies. Cocktails also feature, particularly at weekends. A wide range of quality home made food and snacks is served, with booking advisable for Sunday lunch.

An imposing three-storey building on the old London road, the Cellar House has been a pub for over 150 years. The pub has a modernistic airy feel, while still retaining its old world charm, with exposed brickwork, ceiling beams and an inglenook with a real fire. Dining is more of a focus for this pub although up to six real ales are available, including from local micros. A good range of keg beers and bottled beers are also available.
