Artichoke

The Artichoke is a 1930s flint building, originally decorated in the Brewers Tudor style, with two circular bars with cone-shaped roofs, giving the pub its name, original Young's, Crawshay & Young's windows, parquet flooring and a long solid wood bar. Bought and significantly but sensitively refurbished by the owner of Golden Triangle brewery in summer 2018, the bar now features eight handpumps, including two or three Golden Triangle beers, a great selection of craft beers, and real cider in bottles. Food is provided by XO Kitchen, and there's a popular quiz on Tuesday evenings.
