Popular and good-value pub with a music theme, including a snare drum table, cymbal and drum lights, and a full drum kit, plus murals on the walls of the smoking area / beer garden. Close to Carrow Road, home of Norwich City FC, the Rose Inn stands on the corner of Queens Road and City Road; just a short walk from Norwich city centre. The latest refurb was in 2017, when Dawn and Carl returned to run the pub, and the feel is "like your own - very funky - front room" with wood floors, comfy sofas, board games and cards. The owners passion for different beer shows in the five real ales and six (key)keg beers from the some of the most exciting microbreweries around the country, plus several real ciders and gins. Beer, cider and gin festivals are planned and tap takeovers are regularly run, and food is available every day except Monday, with curries from Roti and burgers from Paul's Butchers on the Market Tuesday to Saturday, and sausages and mash on Sunday - all with vegetarian and some vegan options.

This is a large single bar pub with a separate dining area. There are usually three or four real ales served, plus of course food all day. The pub has some very interesting murals on the right hand wall, which were previously behind the bar, and were moved when the pub was refurbished. There's sports on the TVs, occasional live music, and some outdoor seating on by the road.

Deceptively large multi-level pub with an attached cafe-bar (open lunchtimes only). Up to a dozen ales from micros around the country are stocked, including the house beer brewed by Coors. Popular with shoppers and office workers during the day and the younger set in the evening. The real name of the pub is the Gardeners Arms, but it is far better known as the Murderer's (note the possessive, not plural!) since a 19C landlord was convicted of murdering his wife. 2015 winner of the UK Sports Pub of the Year award, after winning the accolade for the East Anglian Sports Pub of the year on a number of occasions. Live music most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Wine Cellar is situated in a basement just off the market place, and is independent and privately owned since 2010. There is an outside courtyard, bar and restaurant seating for drinks and food, with lunch menu finishing at 2.30pm then 6pm to 9pm evening except Mondays. Sunday roasts are served 12pm -3pm and every Tuesday night is free entry for live music in the bar which rotates through acts such as Lee Vasey, Gary Winter, Amy Morris and jazz with Jan Jinkerson or Maria sax. The restaurant is available for private functions, with buffet or sit down meals priced per head, leaving the bar open to the public, or the complete bar and restaurant can be booked for a fixed fee.

One of Norwich’s hidden gems dating back to the 1800s, The Walnut Tree Shades is a pub well known for its live music, juke box and traditional feel. Set just off Gentleman’s Walk where all the hustle and bustle is, the 'Walnut' is a welcoming pub where you’ll step back in time into a pub that has a traditional feel. There's also the best in local Rock, Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and comedy on Monday and Wednesday (with Bingo and a Blues Jam on the Wednesday) and Open Mic every Thursday. The pub also supports Cribbage and has a pool table and a dart board. Usually serving 3 or 4 local ales, from the likes of Humpty dumpty and Woodforde's, food is served Monday to Saturday, a good selection of traditional fare, using locally sourced meat and vegetables where possible.

A large and friendly local pub close to the shops in the Golden Triangle, with a number of seating areas inside and out, serving an interesting variety of ales from local breweries, with Wolf's Golden Jackal, Norfolk Brewhouse's Moon Gazer, and Greene King's London Glory on tap most of the time, as well as two or three constantly changing beers from all over the country (note that keg beers are sometimes listed on the blackboard). Customers are encouraged to try before they buy and a full pint is assured by the use of over-sized pint glasses, as recommended by CAMRA, but rarely offered. The pub is dog friendly and is proud to remain one of the more traditional pubs in Norwich, by, in the words of the landlord " steadfastly refusing to offer cooked food to our clientele or becoming a restaurant with a licence on the side". Sports shown on TV but the screens do not dominate (except in one small area!). There is also a pleasant pergola-covered patio to one side of the pub.

Cosy 17th century city corner pub, which was extended at least twice into neighbouring buildings in the last thirty years, and has been completely refurbished up-market a few years ago. The original pub is now the main bar, with most of the seating in the extended areas. Up to six well-kept ales are served from around the country, the pub having apparently been released from the Greene King tie, alongside craft beers and a good range of spirits, including gin from the on-site the distillery. May close somewhat earlier than 12.30 on weekdays if quiet!

Friendly and comfortable corner pub on the corner of Colegate and Duke Street, hosting a Sunday night quiz, bar billiards league, and regular live music. Excellent menu of three or four home-cooked dishes served daily. Pickled onions on the bar, a proper coffee machine, and an eclectic selection of music played at just the right volume (audible but unobtrusive). Historically one of the few pubs which still served real ale in the late 70's and early 80's, when run by famous landlord Peter Turner. The larger front bar has plenty of wood an mirrors and natural light, and behind the bar to the left is a smaller mainly seating area, which leads to a small patio at the rear. There are also a few tables in fornt of the pub on the wide pavement.

The Louis has a traditional old-fashioned British pub feel. Four real ales are always available in the Grade II-listed building, which dates in parts from the 15th century. In addition there are various flavours of Lilleys Cider which are rotated weekly, a range of gins, including three local blends, and a choice of wines, cocktails, vodkas, rums and whisky. Until recently the pub was known as Take Five but has now reverted to its more familiar name. The man behind the name, Louis Marchesi, founded the Round Table Great Britain and Ireland in 1927 and held its meetings in this very building, which was renamed in his honour in 1976. The building has a history going back hundreds of years, having one of the city’s oldest crypts still in use, which can be used for many kinds of event. There is also a large function room upstairs, which was once the meeting room for the Round Table, and has a small 'patio' terrace at the rear, for private use when there is a function on, and used as a smoking area when the pub is open.

Traditional and well-decorated pub overlooking the River Wensum with a delightful - if small! - riverside terrace with views of the ancient Fye Bridge. A welcoming row of nine handpumps dispenses an excellent selection of ales from modern micros, UK keykeg beers and real cider. On Tuesdays a selection of ales is available at £2 pint (2018). The pub is popular with visitors and the kitchen offers a great selection of meals made with locally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with a room downstairs as well as a big screen that regularly shows major sporting events. Just the place to watch the boats go by.

Norwich & District Branch Pub of the Year, 2019. A friendly and welcoming traditional single-bar corner local with a variety of changing ales from the smaller breweries, usually including one from Lacons. The pub has a clean and bright bar area which gives a spacious feel, plus a pleasant and quiet enclosed courtyard garden area at the rear. Open Mic events are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Quality snacks are available, and takeaway food can be brought in. Previously (until 2015) a Bateman's pub, the Leopard was bought and completely refurnished in 2014. The bar was extended and moved, and underfloor heating and a new cellar added, and the range of beers expanded greatly, to include up to six real ales and the better-quality lagers.

Adjacent to the Fat Cat Brewery, many of whose beers are available most of the time, this welcoming watering hole serves a wide range of quality real ales, alongside a range of real ciders and craft and bottled beers, as well as running a bookshop/club for the customers. Loaded fries, burgers and other hot meals and snacks are available. The large and airy main bar features a distinctive solid oak bar top, and has plenty of seating and a small stage at one end, where regular live music events are held. Old brewery and beer adverts and other brewery paraphernalia decorate the walls and roof space, where you'll also find a working set of traffic lights, which indicate whether the bar is open or not! The pub has two outside seating areas: a large expanse of grass at the front, open to the road, and an enclosed and covered patio and garden at the rear. There's cycle parking at the front, and a small car park. Built in the 1970s as the Wherry, the pub was bought and significantly refurbished in 2005 by Colin Keatley, as the second in the Fat Cat group, and subsequently sold to long-term landlords Mark and Laura White in 2020. The Artichoke is a 1930s flint building, originally decorated in the Brewers Tudor style, with two circular bars with cone-shaped roofs, giving the pub its name, original Young's, Crawshay & Young's windows, parquet flooring and a long solid wood bar. Bought and significantly but sensitively refurbished by the owner of Golden Triangle brewery in summer 2018, the bar now features eight handpumps, including two or three Golden Triangle beers, a great selection of craft beers, and real cider in bottles. Food is provided by XO Kitchen, and there's a popular quiz on Tuesday evenings.

A great Victorian residential-area local pub used by customers of all ages, with an excellent range of beers from local and national brewers. Inside there are three bar areas: a traditional bar with a real fire; a comfortable lounge with leather sofas; and a small entrance hall snug area. The pub also boasts a function room upstairs, plays host to football, golf, darts, pool and rugby clubs, and has regular quiz nights. The beer garden outside is popular, particularly when barbecues are held during the summer months. A popular beer festival with around twenty-five beers is held in June. Watch out for pie day Fridays too! The Beehive was awarded Branch Pub of the Year in 2015 and was runner up as Branch City Pub of the Year 2018. Pop-up Punjabi food nights have proved popular.

Situated two miles west of Norwich city-centre, this quirky 19th century traditional pub was built on the site of an old tollhouse. The interior comprises of two oak-panelled bars, with a roaring log fire in winter and a large garden going down to the River Wensum for the summer months. Four excellently kept real ales are dispensed by handpump and gravity, with the handpumps sporting original pump-clips, and the Grain Oak at a very attractive price! The pub fields two pool teams, a crib team and a darts team on Monday night. There's also music most nights: Irish Folk, Wednesday; Folk, Thursday and Celtic Folk Sunday, with 1950s and onward type music (live) and occasional guest musicians.
