For many years we found ourselves searching for specific venues on mapping services and it always required constant tweaks to our search terms and general expertise to find exactly what we were looking for.... and even then the results were often not correct. Try searching for Gluten free child friendly outdoor garden pubs showing live football on one of the mapping tools!

So we set out to make it easier for people to find places and for the likes of pubs and restaurants we wanted to give them a better way to promote their products and services to people.

So that is where FlookBook came from.... Why the name? Why not?

Seeing a need to simplify the process of planning a trip to a pub or restaurant, the idea for Flookbook was born while trying to find a pub that had a beer garden (so they could meet for a drink during the pandemic of 2021).
