Note that no membership is required in order to enter and enjoy the bar and facilities. A warm, cosy and comfortable club tucked away beside Sacred Heart Catholic Parish Church in Springfield. The current Parish Centre was built in 1904 as the original Sacred Heart Parish Church, and served that purpose until the current Parish Church opened in 1938. The bar is now placed where the altar used to be, and the lancet windows in the upstairs snooker room overlook the original (now closed) entrance facing Stratford Street. The centre hosts local social clubs and activities most afternoons. The evening highlights are The Ronnie Moore 17-piece Big Band every Wednesday and live cabaret on Saturday. The function room is available for hire on Fridays, Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons. There are two full size snooker tables, darts and dominoes. Full wheelchair access is available via ramp and lift, with separate disabled toilet.

Formerly the Clarence Hotel, this late Victorian (1898) Grade II listed building is impressive both inside and out. beyond the entrance porch there is a long, tiled and wood panelled main room with two smaller front rooms either side looking out onto the street. A grand internal staircase leads up to a comfortable first floor cocktail bar directly over the main entrance - although this is sadly no longer in use.
