Formerly the Clarence Hotel, this late Victorian (1898) Grade II listed building is impressive both inside and out. beyond the entrance porch there is a long, tiled and wood panelled main room with two smaller front rooms either side looking out onto the street. A grand internal staircase leads up to a comfortable first floor cocktail bar directly over the main entrance - although this is sadly no longer in use. There is karaoke on Thursday, Friday and Sunday evenings. Harrys bar is also the venue for the World Pie Eating Championships which occur mid December every year.
