The Venture is a traditional village pub situated near the cricket ground and bowling green. There used to be a lodge belonging to the 'Venture Coal Mine' on this site and the pub was built in a similar style. It is a Sizzling pub with food specials on Tues/Weds & Thurs. There is a decked patio area with heaters and outdoor seating although smokers tend to stand just outside the main entrance. Children's menu, but under-18s not welcome in games room. Food served daily 12-10pm (until 9pm Sundays). Open all day. Cash machine.
