May 2021: Undergoing sympathetic restoration by Joules focused on enhancing the cosy snugs and corners and creating a community pub and celebrating the rich heritage of the Pub. More recent extensions have been removed to reveal more of the original 250 year old pub. This multi-award winning 18th century grade II listed coaching inn offers a warm welcome and boasts a good reputation for quality beer; the main bar has eight handpulls for real ales. Taken over in 2018 by Joule's, four of these are dedicated to Joule's ales, including one for their seasonal ale. The other four handpulls include Hobson's Best plus three ever changing regional ales. They no longer sell real cider. The "Brasserie De Haan" in a separate room, houses over 80 Belgian beers (both draught and bottled). Award-winning pork pies are served from the bar at all times. Well worth seeking, this "wet" (in more ways than one) gem from 1740 is positioned next to the river and also accessible by the Memorial Footbridge, across from the Inclined plane and the Tar Tunnel. Infamous for regular winter river floods; note the gauge on the outside door showing the various heights of the water in past years. This does not detract from the interior of the pub which is comfortable and inviting with two rooms. Once a thriving community pub, it is now quieter, enlivened by the music nights and occasional outdoor events in season e.g. Bank holidays, etc. Live music - Traditional Irish Music on Thursdays 8pm and Folk and Acoustic Music Session 3rd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 8pm.

Although it's on top of a hill, Ketley Bank, some find this pub a little difficult to find first time, but worth a look. There have been licenced premises on the site since 1826. Basically a two roomed pub with outside areas front and back and a particular sun trap of a conservatory on the front. Very much a local's pub serving two hand pulls with well presented beers and bar snacks such as pork pies and scotch eggs. There is a popular quiz on alternate Wednesdays at 9pm.

This is a large pub. At the front are two rooms used mainly for pool and darts. Two steps up to a large rear bar room (ramps and assistance for disabled customers). Regular live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Friday is mainly karaoke night (8pm till late) and Saturday is live music - see Facebook or noticeboard outside for artists. Three large sports TV screens. Dogs are only allowed in the gardens. Outside there is a covered heated smoking area, a children's play area consisting of slides, swings and a climbing frame and a large lawn area with plenty of tables and chairs. The nearest bus stop is in Manor Road about 400m away. Every year on the last Sunday of May (Bank Holiday) a real cider festival is held.

The bar area is long and quite narrow with regular lively local trade. Jenko's Mongolian barbecue opens at 6:00pm where you have a good choice of ingredients, sauces and spices. Choose what you want and it's cooked in front of you on a griddle. On Sundays the roast lunches are served from 12 noon until 3:00 PM which are very popular, so it is advisable to book in advance. Opened in May 2018 by two beer enthusiasts who wanted to create "the type of pub that we would like to drink in". There is one main room, but a semi dividing wall effectively produces two separate drinking areas with tables, chairs and stools which enhance a friendly intimate drinking atmosphere. Formerly a printers, jewellers and a butchers premises, clues to the reason for the name of the pub are to be found with photographs on the walls of coracle makers and operators from bygone years on the adjacent river Severn. It offers five cask ales from independent breweries, seven beers on tap plus a real cider. See Facebook for the latest chalk board. A well stocked fridge containing 70 - 80 bottled and canned beers from far and wide. There is also a stock of special bottled beers in the cellar. As with many micro-pubs, bar snacks, pies and scratchings are available but you are welcome to bring your own food. The small chimney breast at the rear of the pub holds a selection of board games and books to help while away the time if desired. A quiet pub where good conversation is enjoyed between locals and visitors alike.
