Anvil Inn

Re-opened October 2018 after extensive refurbishment by new owners, Black Country Ales, and thoroughly brought up to date with sheltered courtyard, astro turf and modern toilets including disabled. The pub interior has been traditionally brought up to date with clean lines and homely upholstery. The original fireplace has been retained and sports log and coal fires on colder nights. The dart board is in an enclosed booth. The bar has 10 handpulls, 3 devoted to Black Country Ales, five for guests and two for real cider. Generous bar snacks are available and dogs are allowed. No children after 7pm. Accommodation is available next door (no connection with Black Country Ales). Anvil Ale (4.0% ABV) is Simpkiss Bitter brewed by Enville Brewery in Staffordshire. The easiest route from the railway station is through the car park.

Pub is near the centre of town near all the facilities Shifnal is noted for,; takeaway's, pubs and restaurants. Previously owned by Woods Brewery, The Crown is now independently owned, and at the time of writing is described by the owner as a work in progress. It has a large room at front with a bar central up a step. This and the lack of suitable toilets make it unsuitable for wheelchairs. There is a large room at the back of the bar and an entrance to a suntrap lounge with a covered area, and also a side entrance from the street Only guest beers are available at present (3) A restaurant on the upper floor is planned for the future.

Large hotel with a bar called Butlers Bar. Access is from the front door of this Grade II listed building dating from 1699. The large free car park and entrance to the hotel is at the rear. Gardens at the front with plenty of seating.

A family run pub in a cosy 17th century grade II listed building offering many surprises inside. Serving 8 real ales with many local guests and two draught ciders. An atmosphere of exposed beams and tiled floors with local artists work adorning the walls. Opening hours and food serving times in the winter can vary so please call ahead. Weekly quiz Wednesdays, free book exchange. Extensive outside covered area with stage for regular music events and large rear sun-trap beer garden popular in summer. Traditional pub food served daily lunchtime and evening. Discount on real ales for card carrying CAMRA members.
Shifnal War Memorial Club

Memorial Club with up to two changing real ales. There is a large function room, a comfortable side lounge room and a snooker room with 3 tables (signed in guests can use the tables if there are no club matches being played) The club has hosted the local CAMRA beer festival for the last 5 years, which is usually held around October time. This is held in the function room which is also available for private hire. The lounge hosts a weekly "motorbike meet" on a Tuesday night, whose members have raised funds for local charities. Line dancing is held on Tuesday night - all welcome. Regular live entertainment, please see Facebook for dates and times Membership is £15 per year or £2 per visit (as of May 2019). The club was burnt down in 1982, then rebuilt and re-opened in 1983.
