An atmosphere of exposed beams and tiled floors with local artists work adorning the walls. Opening hours and food serving times in the winter can vary so please call ahead. Weekly quiz Wednesdays, free book exchange. Extensive outside covered area with stage for regular music events and large rear sun-trap beer garden popular in summer. Traditional pub food served daily lunchtime and evening. Discount on real ales for card carrying CAMRA members.

Memorial Club with up to two changing real ales. There is a large function room, a comfortable side lounge room and a snooker room with 3 tables (signed in guests can use the tables if there are no club matches being played) The club has hosted the local CAMRA beer festival for the last 5 years, which is usually held around October time. This is held in the function room which is also available for private hire. The lounge hosts a weekly "motorbike meet" on a Tuesday night, whose members have raised funds for local charities. Line dancing is held on Tuesday night - all welcome. Regular live entertainment, please see Facebook for dates and times Membership is £15 per year or £2 per visit (as of May 2019). The club was burnt down in 1982, then rebuilt and re-opened in 1983.
