A friendly and very popular back-street local, offering good beer and chat. A community hub, being twice the local branch community pub of the year and former branch Pub of The Year, traditional games are played such as darts, pool and euchre, and regular live music events are featured. Up to eight real ales and two ciders are normally on offer, which usually includes several LocAles. The snug is available for small gatherings and meetings. There is a log-burner in the main bar. Two beer festivals are held throughout the year.

Following a major refit The Merchant (formerly The Clipper) opened 30th January 2015, offering customers a traditional pub experience combined with quality food and drinks. The interior is decked with muted tones, oozing classic elegance. A smart new dining area compliments classic comfortable sofa seating, perfect for relaxing with a pint or two. There is an emphasis on cask ales, craft beers, real cider and award-winning wines, with six handpull pumps at the bar, one of which will be dedicated to a periodically changing real cider, serving locally and nationally sourced cask ales. Family friendly community pub that underwent a tasteful refurbishment in 2018. Has up to five changing beers, one of which will be either Branscombe Branoc or Exeter County Best. There is one cider on handpump and also a small range of "Bag in the Box" ciders. Happy hour Mon-Fri between 4 and 6 pm when various discounts depending on the ABV of the beer apply. Good-value home-cooked food is served lunchtimes and evenings seven days a week, including Sunday roasts. There is a large beer garden with enclosed children's play area and BBQ. Live music is occasionally featured (see website for details). Well-behaved dogs are welcomed.

Victorian pub near the town centre, with a public car park opposite. A genuine free house, much enlarged by the present owners. It provides three distinct air conditioned drinking areas, and an outside patio area with heated awnings, Games include pool, darts and euchre. Televised sport is prominent in the pub and there is live music early every Sunday evening. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Regular beers are from the West Country and the pub is home to the Checkstome Brewery. One Checkstone beer is normally available and the cider fridge holds up to seven real ciders.

This large Wells and Young's house at the western end of the esplanade underwent a major refurbishment in late 2019. The inside bar and balcony has been tastefully redecorated while outside all of the tables and chairs have been replaced with additional heaters added to keep hardy souls warn in winter. A 10 to 15 minute walk from the town centre, which is served by good bus and train links. Food times given are winter times. In summer food is served all day. The upstairs balcony has good views across the bay and Exe estuary. Families are welcome, and the large beer garden is popular during the summer months.

Large pub restaurant located between town centre and seafront. Split over several levels including a topfloor cocktail lounge and outside terrace and balcony. Wide selection of drinks and a varied menu including Sunday roasts. Occasional live music. Cocktail bar open 17.00-late Wed-Sat.

A popular pub selling good beer. Although owned by St Austell the other regular ales are guest beers from a variety of breweries, sourced nationally. It is a pub well supported by the local community, with two ladies' and two gents' darts teams, six pool teams, two euchre teams and a Sunday night quiz. Dogs are welcome at all times, and families until 7pm. Although wheelchair access is straightforward, access to the toilets can be difficult.

Completed a major refurbished in Feb 2019 by Craft Union (EI Group). Situated between the Railway Station and the Town Centre and close to major bus routes. This is a long pub with the bar, seating and large pull down TV / cinema screen at one end. The other end has a pool table, darts boards, toilets and access to the dog freindly beer garden. There are numerous large flat screen TV's along the bar mostly showing SKY and BT Sprots channels.
Grapevine

The Grapevine brewhouse is a stylish Victorian free house located in the centre of Exmouth and underwent a minor refurbishment in January 2020. It is home to Crossed Anchors Brewing and Ruby Diner burger specialists. Two or three Crossed Anchors beer are generally available and the other handpumps feature beers that are generally from the Southwest. There are twelve craft taps and three "Bag in the Box" ciders that are rotated on a regular basis. Food is provided by 'Ruby Diner Burger Specialists'.Live music on most Friday and Saturday nights, an open Mic session on a Wednesday and a general knowledge quiz on a Monday will keep you entertained. The TV is generally only used to show major international sporting events. Please note: closed Monday and Tuesday in winter months.

The York Inn is possibly one of the oldest pubs in Exmouth, presumed dating from around 1742, then named the Great Tree Inn. A near town centre busy pub, handy for the bus and rail station. Live music is regularly featured (see website for details).

A friendly, informal club, approximately 100 yards from Exmouth Rail Station. The Wings Bar has regular live music and the usual games associated with a medium sized club (snooker, darts, pool). Otter Bitter and either Rosie Pig or Taunton Cider Co. is on at all times, with an occasional guest real ale.
