Following a major refit The Merchant (formerly The Clipper) opened 30th January 2015, offering customers a traditional pub experience combined with quality food and drinks. The interior is decked with muted tones, oozing classic elegance. A smart new dining area compliments classic comfortable sofa seating, perfect for relaxing with a pint or two. There is an emphasis on cask ales, craft beers, real cider and award-winning wines, with six handpull pumps at the bar, one of which will be dedicated to a periodically changing real cider, serving locally and nationally sourced cask ales.
