Sleek sports bar decorated with a variety of sports memorabilia, and not just football shirts as in many others. The front entrance leads into a wide room, well lit, with views down towards Crosby Marina. To the rear is the main bar area with a number of booth-like seating areas with high tables and seating, many in semi-circular shapes. There are two outdoor drinking areas; one at the rear of the pub is more of a beer garden with typical picnic bench seating, whilst the one on South Road is an extension of the pub itself with tables and upholstered seating. Live sporting events are shown on the TVs (Sky Sports and BY Sport) throughout the pub, and there is a pool table for those who feel more energetic. Formerly known as the Marine Hotel, the building is where Marine Football Club was founded in 1894.

The pub takes its name from a cinema which once stood on the site, although the current building is a converted furniture store. The main room and bar area contains high tables and chairs, with some lower seating around the edge of the room and sofas close to the fireplace and is very bright and functional. To the right is a long room ideal for those dining in large groups or with families. The decor reflects the sites former use as a cinema, with metal projector reels lining some walls, but also pays homage to local shipping and avaition links - Henry Melly, the first man in Liverpool to own an aircraft, took off from the sands at Waterloo on July 7, 1911 to fly to meet friends in Manchester. Alcohol served from 9am
