Olde Tavern

used to be known as the Fox whilst the pub across the road, formerly the Coronation WMC was named the Olde Church Tavern GBG entries in 1988 and 1989 were for the pub as The Fox when it served Wilsons Bitter! A little nearer than Pontefract Monkhill Station is Pontefract Baghill Stationon the York-Sheffield line but this has a rather restricted service albeit including Sundays. This pub also caters for guests at the now Old Tavern Lodge across the road.
