Teal Farm

New Pub in Teal Farm, Washington. It has a modern contemporary decor with discrete seating areas. One area has large folding patio doors which open up onto an outside open and covered drinking area. There is a children's playground down the side of the pub. There are 4 handpulls offering ales from the Marston range, although not all 4 are always in use. Good value meals are served all day by friendly efficient staff. Thursday is quiz night. The last Saturday of every month sees live entertainment.
Bird Inn

The sign on the front of the Bird Inn says 1915, but there is documentation that the first licensee was in 1890. The pub benefited from a major refurbishment in 2016. Wednesday night is poker night and a buskers night is held on Thursday. There is a small garden at the back of the pub which looks out over a large car park. Plenty of buses at Concord bus station nearby.
Ox & Plough
Oxclose Village Centre, Washington NE38 0LZ
Built in the late 1970's as part of the development of Washington New Town, the Ox and Plough has been tastefully reburbished both outside and inside. The bar , with Pool and Darts, is to the right . To the left is a larger lounge and comfortable dining area. There is also a small stage for weekend live music. Handy for bus stops but note there is a bus only link outside, the pub car park being on the west side ( Raby Road). Note opening hours vary during the week.
