Swinton's oldest pub dating back to the mid 1700s. It was altered extensively internally and is now spacious with four distinct areas and a long central bar. Once a Boddingtons establishment it is now a Greene King pub with a regular clientele serving good meals popular with families. Four different cask ales and hand pulled cider.

A White Swan has stood on the same site since the 1820's. It was bought by Holt in 1868 and was replaced by today's pub in 1928. High gables, stained glass and oak panelling are strong features. The small vault has its own gents. Two rooms on the left have been partially combined and there is a sumptuous lounge behind the bar. Finally, at the rear is a large function room which also shows football matches. A quiz and disco is held on Saturdays and a coach to Swinton rugby league games leaves on Sundays. Live music and ladies nights feature occasionally.

Opened in 2019 on the main A6 road, this small interesting bar has three handpumps with an ever changing array of beers usually including a stout and often from Beartown Brewery. There is also a fine selection of craft beer in key-keg, cider from Westons and bottled Belgium fruit beers. Tuesday is games night and there are plans to have a quiz night. There is a small garden at the rear and tables at the front. Sadly at the bar none of the stools are wobbly.

Dating from around 1886, it is a small red brick pub selling on Holts bitter. The present building has seen many changes with the most recent of these coming courtesy of Joseph Holt's investment in its local estate.Consists of a central bar serving lounge on one side and vault on the other. It is a cosy, family pub with excellent hosts. There is music on weekend evenings with occasional live acts. Has featured the Joseph Holt 170 series beer range.

Dating from 1853 and has been a Holt’s pub since 1878 with a more recent inter-war mock-Tudor facade, this is a traditional local. There is a vault to the left and a larger Lounge to the right. Pub games are popular and both these rooms have Dartboards. There is a small and cosy snug behind the bar adorned with some interesting old photos of the local area. The pub mainly sells just the one beer, the ever-popular Bitter. However an occasional seasonal or other Holt beer can appear from time to time. Disabled access is via a ramp at the back.

Large, imposing pub, just off a large roundabout at the top of Swinton, close to the road to Wath-Upon-Dearne. The two room traditional layout has been retained as a comfortable lounge and tap room. There is a pool table in the tap room. A recent change of licensee has led to the regular beers being replaced by a changing guest beer. This can often be unusual for the area. Dogs are welcome in the tap room only. A music quiz is held on Friday evenings.

New micropub opened in early May 2019 in a former shop unit. Selling real ales, craft ales, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks plus tea and coffee. Only one handpump at present but hoping to increase to two if demand warrants it. Local breweries are favoured. The interior is very small and cosy but there is a larger paved patio outside at the front of the pub with covered seating and heaters. Pork pies are available as well as the usual bar snacks. Open mic nights and occasional live acts are held. It bills itself as Rotherham's smallest but coolest bar.
