Previously 'Swinton Catholic Club'. Central bar serves a comfortable lounge and a games room with two snooker tables. The club offers a rotation of cask ales from local brewers. This is a members club however it is open for a £1 day membership.

Under new ownership. since October 19, 2019, this well decorated and comfortable pub reopened in February 2019, after a period of closure. There are two distinct areas, one that acts as a tap area and the other as a lounge/dining area. Welcoming to drinkers and diners alike. Often busy and popular on weekend evenings. The changing guest beer may be sourced either locally or further afield and has dropped in price since changing hands. On mondays the real ale is priced at just £2.50 a pint. A few tables front the pub and there is a nice beer garden to the rear, which contains a children's play area. There is a general knowledge quiz on thursday evenings and live music most Saturdays. Since reopening after the virus lockdown it has been selling beers from the new local brewery, Gorilla in nearby Mexborough.

Traditional style club that until recently sold real ale, but this has now been removed. Open to Members and signed in guests. It has recently been renamed The Vic, which is what the local's have known it has for years.
Woodman Inn

Large, imposing pub, just off a large roundabout at the top of Swinton, close to the road to Wath-Upon-Dearne. The two room traditional layout has been retained as a comfortable lounge and tap room. There is a pool table in the tap room. A recent change of licensee has led to the regular beers being replaced by a changing guest beer. This can often be unusual for the area. Dogs are welcome in the tap room only. A music quiz is held on Friday evenings.

Reopened in April 2018 after a period of closure and refurbishment. However it closed again in late September 2019. It's future remains uncertain. Features a small tap room and a larger lounge. Adjacent to the car park for the Railway Station and close to the canal. The real ale is not always available. Planning permission granted 15/1/21 to create flats above but retain bar and restaurant. Reopening date not yet fixed.

Previously called the Stonehouse, it was converted from a dwelling a few years ago. Situated on the main road through Swinton close to the centre. It is family friendly during the daytime and is popular with a young crowd on weekend nights when it is promoted as a music venue. There is an outside area and garden with smoking area. Quiz nights and live music feature with sport shown on the big screen. There is also a function room. When it first opened real ale was available but it hasn't been of late. Often only opens in the evening.
Cafe Sport & Roxy's Bar

Interesting conversion of the former Ritz cinema into a sports bar. Located in the centre of Swinton, close to the Community Centre & Library. The emphasis is very much on sport. There are Pool & Snooker Tables and a Gym with separate ladies only facilities. Sky Sports channels are screened. A guest DJ features every month, supported by live bands once a fortnight. There are outside areas with seating at the front and to the side. At one time it was a regular outlet for beers from Acorn but, after a period without real ale, the local Chantry Brewery is favoured instead. Real ale is not always available.

Sports Bar, Steakhouse grill and restaurant, with a large function room that caters for meetings, parties and weddings situated within the heart of Swinton Park. Open from 12pm all day every, food is served 'til late every day. Traditional pub food is served in the lounge, Regular live music and cabaret nights are held. Drinks available in the sports bar area that includes two real ales. Close by the schools. the food is freshly cooked. There is an open mic session every sunday from 4pm and lve tribute acts on friday and Saturday evenings.

New micropub opened in early May 2019 in a former shop unit. Selling real ales, craft ales, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks plus tea and coffee. Only one handpump at present but hoping to increase to two if demand warrants it. Local breweries are favoured. The interior is very small and cosy but there is a larger paved patio outside at the front of the pub with covered seating and heaters. Pork pies are available as well as the usual bar snacks. Open mic nights and occasional live acts are held. It bills itself as Rotherham's smallest but coolest bar.
