Barrel House

The Barrel House is a brand new micro pub opened in May 2014. A former newsagents which still sells the daily paper. It owes its existence to the new Sainsbury's Supermarket which gave the owner the idea to change his business. It is now an Aladdin's cave of wonderful bottled beers, wines, loose leaf teas and speciality coffees. It also sells two real ales on handpumps usually featuring local breweries such as Southport Parker. Loyalty card offers free pint after buying 10.

The Tap and Bottle is a Micro Pub situated in the arcade between Chapel Street and Lord Street next to the Atkinson Centre. It has a huge bottle selection not all Real Ale in a Bottle though. It has a choice of four real ales from virtually any brewery, with a slant to North West England. It has a small beer tapas menu served all day.

Peaky Blinders is a bar opened in 2015 on the north end of Lord Street in what is now often being called the Northern Quarter of Southport. It is in an old corner shop just up Seabank road from the promenade. It is named after the popular television programme of the same name. It is very dog friendly including giving out doggy treats and use of a dog bowl for our four legged friends.
