Social & Sports Activities take place most evenings on the extensive courts and pitches. Southport Golden Sands on keg with Brewdog craft beer alongside a number of keg beers. Strongbow and a fruit cider from a gas dispense. A number of mainstream cask beers are being trialed for member approval from the Sadlers range at present. There is a long walk from the main road at the front which goes round the sports field but the premises can be accessed by a walkway from Gleneagles Ave at the rear.

The sister shop next door Grayson’s will be supplying food in a range of pies, baguettes and cheese boards. The pub has two outside areas one in front of the pub and one by the side accessed through the back room. The back room is availed for meetings and functions etc. There are some old photographs on the walls of when the shop used to be an electrical appliance shop back in the last century.

New micropub and bake house which opened in July 2021. The pub has a main bar with limited tables and chairs and at the back an additional little room which is available for hire. There is also plenty of tables and chairs outside. The Woollen Pig is quite unusual in its choice of food and service. The pub sells hot food in the Deli grab and go style which is open 0800 – 1500 Monday to Friday, however the Brass Pig attached to the pub and sells food such as topped grilled burghers and smoked hot dogs from 1500 to 2000 Thursday to Sunday. There is also a counter for tea coffee and cakes and pies with a takeaway service also available, although cakes and butter pies are only available at weekends.
