Self-styled country pub in the town, with the widest choice of beer and cider in the area. Up to eight real ales include permanent, rotating Oakham beers and microbrewery guests. The pub gets busy lunch and teatimes for good-value home-cooked food. Magazines, newspapers and members-only snooker facilities are available. Quizzes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with live music alternate Saturdays. Handy for the shops, but do your shopping first, otherwise you just might not bother. Refurbished internally in 2019.

Situated at the rear to Scunthorpe market and opposite Wickes DIY. No real ale. Serves Sam Smiths keg products. Large horseshoe shaped pub with a pool table at one end. Two real fires at either side of the entrance. Bench seating and tables around the three sides of the pub.

Large roadside modern pub recently refurbished by owners Greene King into a Flaming Grill outlet. A varied food menu is available all day. Pub is split into different sections, some used primarily for eating. Offers six handpulled real ales, mainly from the Greene King range, but sometimes featuring other brewers beers as guests.

Basic but busy town centre local. No cask ales. John Smiths keg. One long bar. Smokers have to stand outside, no shelter.

A very large food orientated establishment with a separate bar area. Live music monthly with a quiz night on Thursdays. Three hand pumps in use. 10% discount on all cask ales for CAMRA members.

No real ale. Large community pub on CAMRA's national inventory of historic pubs because of the off-sales window between the lounge and bar, now only used for display purposes. Snooker facilities available in the back room, formerly used as a function/music room. Bench seats outside.

Sports bar converted from ex-Yorkshire Bank premises. Formerly known as the Mint. Sky/BT Sports TV. Recent convert to real ale and is now featuring draught beers from Batemans including Prohibition craft lager. Currently closed for refurbishment. Best current estimate is a re-opening on 29 November 2020.
