Re-opened for business in December 2019 after extensive refurbishment/extension to include new sun terrace, separate kitchen and larger dining/drinking area.

Town-centre real ale haven designed on a legal theme with a long, narrow bar area, which opens out into a wider seated area. The bar now has seven handpulls and offers one regular and up to three changing real ales, plus up to three real ciders. Outside the pub frontage are tables with overhead heaters for cooler weather. Hosts open mic nights every other Sunday and monthly live music on Fridays.

Pub is split into different sections, some used primarily for eating. Offers six handpulled real ales, mainly from the Greene King range, but sometimes featuring other brewers beers as guests.

Recent convert to real ale and is now featuring draught beers from Batemans including Prohibition craft lager. Currently closed for refurbishment. Best current estimate is a re-opening on 29 November 2020.

Iron Forge

Well-appointed, open plan style pub on a large site with plenty of car parking. It is popular with diners and food is available at all times which includes a carvery. Sold to the Marston's pub group in 2017, extensively refurbished and opened as a Marston's Milestone Carvery in July 2018. The Thwaites beer is Wainwright.
