Large community pub comprising two rooms - one is a public bar with pool and TV, the other an open-plan, spacious lounge that is attractively decorated and comfortably furnished. A grassed, outdoor patio area can be accessed from the lounge and outdoor tables are located at the front of the pub. Two changing real ales usually available.

Honest Lawyer

Town-centre real ale haven designed on a legal theme with a long, narrow bar area, which opens out into a wider seated area. The bar now has seven handpulls and offers one regular and up to three changing real ales, plus up to three real ciders. Outside the pub frontage are tables with overhead heaters for cooler weather. Hosts open mic nights every other Sunday and monthly live music on Fridays.

Self-styled country pub in the town, with the widest choice of beer and cider in the area. Up to eight real ales include permanent, rotating Oakham beers and microbrewery guests. The pub gets busy lunch and teatimes for good-value home-cooked food. Magazines, newspapers and members-only snooker facilities are available. Quizzes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with live music alternate Saturdays. Handy for the shops, but do your shopping first, otherwise you just might not bother. Refurbished internally in 2019.

Large roadside modern pub recently refurbished by owners Greene King into a Flaming Grill outlet. A varied food menu is available all day. Pub is split into different sections, some used primarily for eating. Offers six handpulled real ales, mainly from the Greene King range, but sometimes featuring other brewers beers as guests.
