The Plough is a well-furbished establishment. Entry through the front door leads initially to two rooms with the Bar to the left and a cosy games room with Pool & TV to the right. Straight on leads to a second bar and the restaurant (which is currently being refurbished), part of which can be closed off to allow for private events and meetings. (Under new management by Melissa since Late Feb 2019)- no Cask Ales at present but will have three Cask Ales shortly.

This recently refurbished Craft Union pub reopened Aug 2021. Under the current management since June 2016, it reverted to its original name of The Railway which it had held for the previous 60 years. The bar is surrounded by a cosy and tastefully decorated drinking area, fronted by a quiet lounge. Fiona and Ellie provide well kept Real Ales. Food is also available from noon, seven days per week. Conveniently situated close to the main bus stop, near Ings Grove Park, this pub is well worth a visit following their recent refurbishment.

Large, stylised family and food orientated 'Hungry Horse' with bar. Childrens' play areas (inside and outside), changing rooms and separate access show some thought. Whilst formula based, sufficiently different to merit a visit by the drinker if only to get a decent meal. Varying Greene King and other guest beer are available (Taylor's Landlord when last checked). Re-opened October 2020 after refurbishment following flood damage.

Having celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2013, the former Mirfield Liberal Club is ideal for a quiet pint and is open to both members and the public, holding both Club and Public House Licences. An award-winning 1807 pub with a typically sensitive, tasteful restoration by Ossett Brewery having an impressive tiled flowerpot as the centrepiece. The pub boasts four separate drinking areas and a real fire. There is a terrace and riverside beer garden. Quiz night is Tuesday. Nine ales are offered from Ossett's five breweries and independents, usually including a mild or stout, plus a cider. The pub is on the Transpennine Real Ale Trail and holds occasional beer and cider festivals.
