The beer garden has been extended to two and is well used by families and dogs are welcome throughout. Frequent bus services stop nearby and the car park is ample. Former club with fascinating colonial memorabilia offering a cosy retreat with sofas around the fire. A Royal British Legion memorial is in the prize-winning garden and local charities are well supported. The spacious conservatory serves for functions and meetings. Up to three guests are from a range of brewers and usually include a dark ale. Good quality and value meals are served Thursday to Saturday plus Sunday lunch. Mirfield station is one mile away. Opening times vary so ring ahead.

This is an inviting pub boasting a riverside beer garden with free overnight boat moorings, situated on the A644 road, a mile from Mirfield town centre and railway station. The relaxed atmosphere combined with its home-cooked food served lunchtimes and evenings is appealing to locals and visitors alike, offering four ales, two being free of tie. Thursday is quiz night from 9:30pm with free supper.

The Plough is a well-furbished establishment. Entry through the front door leads initially to two rooms with the Bar to the left and a cosy games room with Pool & TV to the right. Straight on leads to a second bar and the restaurant (which is currently being refurbished), part of which can be closed off to allow for private events and meetings. (Under new management by Melissa since Late Feb 2019)- no Cask Ales at present but will have three Cask Ales shortly.

This recently refurbished Craft Union pub reopened Aug 2021. Under the current management since June 2016, it reverted to its original name of The Railway which it had held for the previous 60 years. The bar is surrounded by a cosy and tastefully decorated drinking area, fronted by a quiet lounge. Fiona and Ellie provide well kept Real Ales. Food is also available from noon, seven days per week. Conveniently situated close to the main bus stop, near Ings Grove Park, this pub is well worth a visit following their recent refurbishment.

Large, stylised family and food orientated 'Hungry Horse' with bar. Childrens' play areas (inside and outside), changing rooms and separate access show some thought. Whilst formula based, sufficiently different to merit a visit by the drinker if only to get a decent meal. Varying Greene King and other guest beer are available (Taylor's Landlord when last checked). Re-opened October 2020 after refurbishment following flood damage.

It is said that the 'Three Nuns' took over the tavern in 1539 after the dissolution of the nearby nunnery in Kirklees Park. The present pub was constructed behind the original inn in 1939. Now sadly the historic name has been replaced by a corporate brand and the new theme is all manner of (mostly expensive) steaks, while real ale does not feature.

Recently extended and renovated with the addition of a patio area, and situated on a busy road from which it attracts much passing trade, no doubt attracted by the old adage on its pub sign. Majors on food, available 12 noon till 9pm daily. Situated close by a large Garden Centre. Andrew, Lisa and their team are delighted to welcome everyone to the White Gate Inn. The pub is surrounded by countryside and fine views, serving Old Mill traditional ales, plus a guest ale, alongside good food all day, every day.
