Closed July 2016 due to "technical problem" but then re-opened after sale by Greene King to a private purchaser. After a brief closure reopened Jan 2019 as The Juniper. Real ale is not always available. A marvellous looking building with some striking interior features, wood panelling wraps around the wall with built-in mirrors, and a fine fireplace above which is an old looking Cock Tavern clock. The ceiling is also well worth looking at with some fine carving. Towards the back is a pool table and darts table. There is ample seating throughout. It used to be home to The Cock Tavern Theatre but this closed in 2011 - the Victorian staircases being "too steep and too short". The building is locally listed by Brent Council: https://www.brent.gov.uk/media/16415196/locally-listed-heritage-assets-in-brent-full-list.pdf

In 2013 M&B took this pub back into direct management, they have thoroughly repainted interior and exterior while retaining the same essential layout. A Victorian building occupying an imposing corner site that was originally named The Earl Derby. Themed quiz night Tuesday. On opening night the guest beers were Jarrow Rivet Catcher and Leeds Gathering Storm. The usual array of craft kegs supporting London brewers such as Meantime and Camden Town. However, by Aug 2014 only one beer was on sale and the "forthcoming beer" sign had been removed. Extensive menu served from opening until 10. At the time, we wrote "A welcome addition to the Kilburn cask beer scene, an area that has proved obstinate to the real ale revival." It looks as if that obstinacy remains. Indeed in April 2018, no cask beer at all was on sale.

Was a restaurant in 1989 and then an Irish pub by 1993. Closed in 2018 and reopened as a live music venue run by Vince Power in 2019. From their website: "We are open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Live Football matches and every gig night from 7 pm. We will keep you posted of when Football matches are on! (No Admission after 12:30am)" The Kingdom bar was one of the many Irish bars along Kilburn High Road and was hugely popular amongst GAA fans and the Irish community, especially Kerry fans, as the pub was painted in their team's colours - green and gold! The bar was one of the Kissane Taverns pubs around North West London, which have all now closed. All the big GAA and rugby matches were shown and everyone would stand for the Irish National Anthem before the games. The closure of the bar in 2018, was a sign of the times, but it reopened in early 2019, as the new live music venue - The Fiddler. We have uploaded a picture of how it looked as The Kingdom.

Now open again after a refurbishment of the theatre, and called KILN THEATRE BAR with six keg beers available (including Hackney) and a selection of canned/bottled beers, some from London. A welcome return even though back in the day it did offer a cask beer. While the coffee shop at the front opens daily, the bar currently only operates when there is a performance from around 5.30. Its closing time will again depend upon when the performance finishes and how busy the bar is. It is though open to those not going to a performance. An associated company runs the bar/restaurant at the Young Vic.

A central bar breaks up the pub and the decorated ceiling, lighting, wooden seating and floor create a warm ambience. There is a gastro-style restaurant at the rear in a very nice room but bar snacks are also available. Function room for hire. Beer range changes and can often feature London breweries such as Sambrook's or Truman's. Quiz Tues nights, DJs Fri/Sat nights from 10pm and Sun jazz. Outside seating on busy main road or slightly less busy side road. The pub was opened out in a November 2014 refurbishment but its essentially pleasant interior remains. Brondesbury station is on the London Overground. Trad cider can come and go. On a visit in December 2019 there were 2 guest beers on cask, one from the new Goodness Brewery in Haringey and Sambrook's.

Message on Twitter dated 28th September 2019 from local resident that Kilburn Arms is not selling beer or soft drinks this weekend. Seems very odd! When I visited in July there was no cask ale on. Update July 2019 - no cask beer, said to be " virtually empty and non-existent staff presence". The PR stuff below does not seem to be delivering? Update June 2018 - Black Sheep Best Bitter and Bombardier. Much woodwork including extensive bar back and room divider. From Propel - Beronmoor opens eighth site as it takes on fifth Star Pubs & Bars venue, in Kilburn: London-based multi-site operator Beronmoor has opened his eighth site after taking on its fifth venue with Heineken-owned Star Pubs & Bars. Beronmoor has relaunched the former Prince of Wales in Willesden Lane, Kilburn, as the Kilburn Arms following a £750,000 joint refurbishment designed to broaden the pub’s appeal. The refurbished gastro-pub now also has an artisan fish and chip shop and 12 new double en-suite letting rooms – Beronmoor’s first site with accommodation. A large new kitchen has been installed allowing the Kilburn Arms to offer food for the first time with an area partitioned off to cater for the fish and chip takeaway service. The whole interior of the pub has been redecorated and upgraded. A mix of banquette and freestanding seating has increased the covers by 20 to 93. The menu features pub classics including homemade burgers, risottos and Sunday roasts. Fish and seafood are a speciality. Drinks feature a selection of premium gin and rum, wine and champagne, cocktails, craft ale, bottled beers and ciders. Beronmoor managing director Costa Tofan said: “We were attracted to The Kilburn Arms because of its great location, size and character. It meant we could run three distinct but interconnected businesses from the same location – a traditional English pub, a small hotel and an artisan fish and chip shop. It’s our biggest site to date.” Star Pubs & Bars operations director Tim Galligan added: “We’re delighted Beronmoor has taken on the Kilburn Arms and is creating a unique business in the area, allowing the pub to realise its potential. The joint investment together with its local knowledge and extensive experience will ensure the pub is sustainable in the long term.” At Aug 2014 this massive old Victorian pub still retains some original features, in particular some excellent etched and cut glass in the old Saloon Bar doors; in some internal screening; and in the very rare curved etched and cut glass windows. Two pool tables and two dartboards. The Prince of Wales was recently added to the CAMRA London Regional Inventory being an historic pub interior of regional importance.

This place was clearly originally built as a pub judging by the external architecture, but there’s now nothing inside of heritage interest. It’s now an Irish bar of course, with all manner of Irish memorabilia inside such as a framed print of Croke Park and license plates bearing the names of Irish counties on the walls. The front end of the room is carpeted; the extended rear is bare-boarded, and furnishings are a mix of normal tables and chairs and red upholstered banquettes. There were TVs on, one inevitably showing the horse racing. There’s no real ale. No sign of food or menus. (review taken from Pubs Galore)

A site now nationally-famous to CAMRA members; after being illegally demolished the developer was forced by Westminster Council to rebuild this pub brick by brick. (For the old pub see the WhatPub entry under "Carlton Tavern, demolished".) Much was salvaged from the wreckage of the old pub, including tiles, reusable bricks and the original bar and fireplaces, and some of the decorative ceilings were also rescued. The opportunity was taken to redesign the internal layout by moving the kitchen to the basement, which had previously been used as changing rooms for a local hockey team. The inside is quite roomy, stretching around the bar to a dining room at the back. Outside is a garden/patio area also used for dining in summer. The new pub showcases the best brewers and distillers in London, alongside a fresh, seasonal menu in the new dining room. The ale offerings include a house bitter. The pub is halfway between Kilburn Park and Maida Vale tube stations and the area to the south is affluent, with the pub clientele reflecting that.
