Old advertising signs decorate interior and exterior while humour is added by a huge rugby ball protruding from roof. Live entertainment or karaoke mid-week. Real ale usually only available during rugby matches.

Attractive red-brick pub built in 1907 by Mitchells and Butlers, and renamed after Edward VII's visit to Gloucester in 1909; this large, popular community asset was given a total refit in 2001, featuring some practical modern styling and a large, central bar layout. The working fireplace has been kept; with their menu choices going down well with the locals. The regularly changing guest ales are sourced from the Ember Inns cask list. A wonderful, petite garden graces the front.

The imposing 18th Century brick frontage of this Grade I listed building hides a 15th century structure that was the Whittington family town house until 1546. The Victorian style bar dominates the spacious medieval interior. Downstairs, the Black Cat cellar bar is available for events, parties and private functions. On 23rd May 2019 it closed but reopened late July under the auspices of Severn Cider. The initial offering was just one real ale and 4 real ciders along with live music at the weekends. Severn Cider relinquished the licence of the Dick Whittington in September 2020.

A family run, traditional ale house. Popular with cyclists, cathedral visitors and fans attending Gloucester Rugby home matches. Multi-award winning for beer quality (Gloucestershire CAMRA Pub of the Year 2020, Gloucester City Pub of the Year 2014-18 & 2020. Good Beer Guide 2014-2022). Hosts two beer festivals each year in June and February with as many as 44 beers on offer aswell as a Tap-Takeover in November. 10 Real ales and 4 or 5 craft kegs on at all other times. Licensed as an alehouse in the 17th-Century, people believe that some of its beams could have come from Drake's "Golden Hind" which began life as the "Pelican". Rescued and refurbished by Wye Valley Brewery in 2012. Real fire on cold days. Gloucester CAMRA Pub of the Year 2018 and Cider Pub of the Year 2018.

Extremely popular 17th century inn on the site of an ale house, known to have existed in 1216. King William III is said to have ridden his horse up the outside stairs to show contempt for the Jacobites who met here. Today, a passage leads from Westgate Street into a courtyard that is ablaze with flowers in the summer. A large door opens into the Cathedral bar with panelled ceiling and carved stone fireplace. The modernised Orange Room serves as an overflow area or a room for private functions. The inn regularly plays host to local Morris Dancers and live music.
