Attractive red-brick pub built in 1907 by Mitchells and Butlers, and renamed after Edward VII's visit to Gloucester in 1909; this large, popular community asset was given a total refit in 2001, featuring some practical modern styling and a large, central bar layout. The working fireplace has been kept; with their menu choices going down well with the locals. The regularly changing guest ales are sourced from the Ember Inns cask list.
