Set in the heart of Allesley Village on the outskirts of Coventry this 17th Century pub caters for all ages. The single bar area has an adjacent section with flat screen TV to show sporting events. Also, it has a separate lounge/dining room and tucked away by the back door you will find a tiny snug. Just outside to the rear is a small patio area and a garden area beyond the car park. Evidence of the long-gone Rainbow brewery can still be seen on the outside of the old stable block. Also, this must be one of the last pubs in Coventry to still have its original outside toilet facilities. Events are held throughout the year and the pub is a major supporter of the annual Allesley Village Festival in July. Please note car access is narrow both on entry and exit. Also both the front and rear entrances to the pub involve steps.

Popular with office workers etc during the week up to early evenings. Younger drinkers weekend evenings, but closed on Sundays. Food available during the day. Small outdoor seating areas both at rear and adjacent to New Union Street. Function room upstairs also popular with wedding guests -- registry office across the road. Two regularly changing guest ales available.

A lively pub popular with students from the surrounding university blocks. One bar serves a large L-shaped room, containing large screen TV's for sports. As of summer 2021, the pub no longer serves real ales or real cider. The handpumps have been removed and replaced with keg craft beer fonts.

Charming victorian pub sympathetically refurbished. Three regular and upto two guest ales are available in the public bar and lounge. There are two additional rooms: one was used for smoking meat (the meat hooks are still visible), the other a quiet snug. Pictures adorn the walls which add to the victorian character. The pub hosts darts and domino teams in local leagues. Children are welcome when dining until 9.30pm; no food Sunday evenings. There is a bar billiards table in the bar - a rare find in Coventry.
