Hare & Hounds
Watery Lane, Keresley End, Coventry CV7 8JA
Located on the northern fringes of the city, this pub is popular with country walkers and locals alike. A large comfortable L-shaped bar area includes real fires. Good value bar meals are available with a more diverse range being served in the restaurant: food can be ordered in advance via their website. The garden has outside seating and a children's play area. The pub also features live music most Saturdays and there is a large function room available for hire.
Phantom Coach (Sizzler Bar & Grill)
Fletchamstead Highway, Coventry CV4 7BA
Large "Sizzling Pub" on the A45 in the Canley area of the city. Years ago, there was a sign outside saying "No Coaches Allowed" (I assume that meant phantom or otherwise) - pity they took it away when the pub was re-branded.
Rainbow Inn
73, Birmingham Road, Allesley, Coventry CV5 9GT
Set in the heart of Allesley Village on the outskirts of Coventry this 17th Century pub caters for all ages. The single bar area has an adjacent section with flat screen TV to show sporting events. Also, it has a separate lounge/dining room and tucked away by the back door you will find a tiny snug. Just outside to the rear is a small patio area and a garden area beyond the car park. Evidence of the long-gone Rainbow brewery can still be seen on the outside of the old stable block. Also, this must be one of the last pubs in Coventry to still have its original outside toilet facilities. Events are held throughout the year and the pub is a major supporter of the annual Allesley Village Festival in July. Please note car access is narrow both on entry and exit. Also both the front and rear entrances to the pub involve steps.
New Spires
Grayswood Avenue, Coventry CV5 8HJ
Large pre WW2 estate pub. Large bar/lounge plus smaller back room. Big garden with patio and play equipment for children. A regular quiz & live music from local talent are held. Also some DJ nights
Royal Hotel
