Glassworks

Originally the Rose & Crown & Spireite, re-opened, after a major refurbishment January 2019 as the Glassworks, with four regular Brampton and four guest ales. The pub now has a comfortable 'snug' area which is decorated with photos and history of the Dema glassworks which once stood opposite the pub (now Proact Stadium of Chesterfield Football Club and a Tesco Store). Local pies are sold and an outside bar is open on football match days.

A local consortium of residents have recently bought the pub after a successful 12 months as tenants. Two roomed local, public bar on the right with traditional games. Bus stop outside the pub - every 10 minutes in daytime. The manager is keen to increase the choice of real ale.

Consisting of two rooms, the public bar has largescreen TV plus jukebox. The small lounge bar is quieter. Both bars have stained glass windows. There is a small covered smoking area outside and an open seating area to the rear.
