Originally the Rose & Crown & Spireite, re-opened, after a major refurbishment January 2019 as the Glassworks, with four regular Brampton and four guest ales. The pub now has a comfortable 'snug' area which is decorated with photos and history of the Dema glassworks which once stood opposite the pub (now Proact Stadium of Chesterfield Football Club and a Tesco Store). Local pies are sold and an outside bar is open on football match days.
