Situated at the southern end of the town centre, the King's Head has reverted back to its original name after being an Irish theme pub for numerous years. The pub has become popular for drinkers and diners of all ages. Within a year it has gone from serving no real ale to now selling three beers and one cider. Awarded the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend's local CAMRA branch Most Improved Pub of the Year award for 2017. Weekly quiz nights are also popular and they organise occasional beer festivals and are keen to stock local Welsh beers.

Typically these might include Bridgend IPA or NEIPA but other one-off brews are sometimes available.
