Once called " The Highwayman" but has now had a facelift. It has a public bar with pool table and a smart lounge bar leading into a restaurant area. Also to the front of the pub is a conservatory which you pass through to enter the bars. A small garden and patio area are out the front with a large car park. Dogs are allowed in public bar and in the conservatory if eating. No longer does real ale.

A bar in the Bang On Brewery (which opened late 2016) and has up to 4 or 5 beers on gravity and a brewery bottle shop on site. Children are welcome with soft drinks and crisps on offer. Free soft drinks are available for drivers who bring drinkers. The bar come from the vestry in Llanharry Chapel dating back to 1850 and the seating comes from various Welsh chapels. Views of the brewery can be seen through the window of the entrance hall. Visiting the Brewery may be possible if staff are not too busy, but they also offer brewery experience days and occasional mini-beer festivals and it is available for private hire. Take-outs are available of both draught and bottled beer. Small parking area available. Dog Friendly.

Situated at the southern end of the town centre and close to the college, this establishment has continued to thrive since its conversion from bathroom showroom to bar in 2007. A mixed clientele use the three distinct areas - a café, a bar and a lounge with comfortable settees. Sports television is available throughout, and the real ale is on two hand pumps, one of which often serves an interesting and well chosen guest beer. Lunches are served Monday to Friday 12-2.30.

Basically furnished free house passionately serving up real ale and cider from Wales and beyond with three beers on handpump and two served straight from the cask. A new venture set up towards the end of 2018 saw a microbrewery installed which is visible behind the lounge and which brews both cask and keg beers for the pub. Typically these might include Bridgend IPA or NEIPA but other one-off brews are sometimes available. A popular weekend venue, customers enjoy open mic nights, special themed evenings, brewery trips, a beer festival every Easter, a stout and porter festival in November, Meet the Brewer and tap take-over events.
