Gate Hangs High
148 Rhosnesni Lane, Wrexham LL13 9ES
Unusual looking black and white pub with bowling green in Wrexham's suburbs. It has two tidy parallel rooms roughly equating to bar and lounge. There is a small rear room with darts.
Senso
17 Town Hill, Wrexham LL13 8NA
Kings Mills
Kingsmills Road, Wrexham LL13 0NS
Attractive quite small and relatively unspoilt red brick Marston's tied-house. Feels like there's history to the place thanks to low thick wooden beams, exposed brickwork, tiled floor and an old kitchen range. The pool, darts and TV are crammed into a small room to one side.
North & South Wales Bank
14 High Street, Wrexham LL13 8HP
As the name suggests this Wetherspoon Lloyds No 1 pub is a converted former bank. It is a fine listed building with a magnificent stained glass window in the high ceiling which adds to the character of the large open planned interior. It can become very lively and noisy especially at weekend nights or when sport is shown on the very large screen. There is a slightly cosier seating area at the rear suitable for family dining.
Old Swan
6 Abbot Street, Wrexham LL11 1TA
A small, attractive, gable ended Hydes tied-house accessed down a corridor via a rear courtyard / smoking area. Narrow with wooden floors and interesting prints. Music and TV sport dominate though the front pool room offers some escape. Alas real ale - availability was always hit and miss - seems to have died a death !
Long Pull
5 Chester Street, Wrexham LL13 8BD
Renamed in October 2016 from the Old Vaults to its long established nickname.
Plas Coch
Plas Coch Road, Wrexham LL11 2BW
A stylish red brick Marston's pub found on the Plas Coch retail park close to Glyndwr University and Wrexham centre.
Penny Black
2 Abbot Street, Wrexham LL11 1TA
Railway Inn
17 Railway Road, Wrexham LL11 2DL
Many years ago this pub featured in the Good Beer Guide. Sadly real ale is no longer served.
