A licensed cafe' serving breakfasts and meals during the day but from 7-11 (Mon-Sat) it becomes a real community pub. Tables may be booked by clubs for club evenings (Bridge, Chess etc) and for AGM's. The large hall at the rear is light and airy, ideal for parties, large gatherings and perfect for dances. Come and visit the ray, tropical fish and resident parrot and admire the teapot collection. There is no real ale available, but beer from Rebellion Brewery is served from their 'Mini Barrels', which are pressurized.

A town-centre pub purchased in 2020 by Big Smoke brewery that has benefitted from a substantial refurbishment. In particular a heated garden room with retractable sunroof. Ten handpulls offer up to six changing real ales and four ciders, complimented by a 15 craft keg tap wall. House beer Solaris features regularly. Quality traditional pub food is offered throughout the day and there is a real fire by the entrance. Wheelchair users need to ask staff to lay a ramp to access the toilets.

Originally the first inn travelling on the road from Reading, but now a popular and busy community local serving a good selection of up to four real ales that includes some from local breweries. The pub comprises a single spacious bar, plus a small room for children at the rear. Very much a sports lover's pub with many large TV screens that have the volume turned down for any other events (the supporters can get a bit noisy). There is also a useful, separate alcove area for darts players. To the rear is a car park and garden plus a terraced area with tables at the front where the covered wooden benches double-up as a smoking area. Regular quiz on Sunday evenings. Well behaved dogs are welcome. No food, but bar snacks or nibbles are available. NOTE: Cash only - No CARDS
