Formerly a bastion of real ale and cider, these are still sometimes to be found. A return to seeing these on a regular basis would be welcomed.

Traditional comfortable multi roomed pub with local photographs. Real fires are complimented by friendly staff and a pleasant ambience. A childrens play area and outside seating are added facilities. The carved wooden bar is striking. Thwaites Wainwright and Robinsons Unicorn are favoured guest beer and sometimes a third handpump is used. Extensive menu of home made food. At quiet times the pub may occasionally close.
