This former cinema is just on the edge of the shopping area, The pub has a pleasant atmosphere and a changing clientele depending on the time of day. The cinema opened in 1915 and closed in the 1960's. Some original features remain (though well hidden). The Sgt Mottershead VC statue appeal was launched here.
