Reopened at the beginning of February 2019 as an O'Neills. 3 handpumps, the décor has been stripped back to the brickwork with various advertising material, particularly for Guinness and Meantime, adorning the place. Large pub located right next to Watford Junction and the adjacent bus station. Convenient for train travellers, post-work groups and those on business looking for pub grub and a pint. The pub has a live music room.

Regular live music venue. Good to see a music venue selling real ales. There are three regular beers and a guest ale that changes every six weeks or so. The main nights for gigs are on Thursdays and Saturdays, but there is live music of some form every day. The music on Thursdays and Saturdays is usually from covers or tribute bands, but quite a few well known names play as well. To pay for the bands there is a variable entry charge on Thursday nights (depending on who's playing) and a 30p levy on drinks on Saturday nights. Entrance is free on other nights, when the music includes showcases for local bands, open mic nights, karaoke and disco. A guide to upcoming gigs at the pub is published on www.lemonrock.com, and you can keep up with events by following the Twitter account @hornswatford. Food is served most lunchtimes and families are welcome, but children must leave by 9pm. Sunday lunch is accompanied by live trad jazz from the Northside Jazz Band.

Traditional pub consisting of one games (pool, darts) orientated bar, and a larger "saloon" style bar. Several clubs meet at the pub, specifically the Watford Diving Club and Watford Camera (not CAMRA!) Club on Thursdays, and the Watford Bookwriters' Club on Mondays. There is a quiz night on Tuesday, which is free to enter. Live bands play twice monthly, usually on Saturdays. The conservatory can be used for functions, provided they aren't too rowdy. Check with the management for details. There is a car park, but spaces are limited. New management took over in late October 2021, food will not served until the kitchen has been upgraded

Wishing Well

Traditional Pub Games

Reopened mid December 2019 and, despite what the poster on the side of the pub states, there's no real ale. A couple of keg Camden beers are available, served in the brewery's tumbler style glasses, at over £5 a pint. The bar has been opened up into a single, open plan, area and the advertising would indicate that it will be concentrating on televised sport and live music.

Theatre and venue just off Watford Lower High Street. The Colne River Room hosts an open mic night on Tuesday, jazz on Thursday and folk on Friday, which are the only nights when the bar is regularly open. The ales come from a wide variety of small breweries. There is a charge to listen to (or take part in) the music, but you can drink in the bar for free. The buildings used to house the pumping station supplying water to the Watford area - hence the name.
