This former Courage pub is situated on East Street adjacent to the popular market. It retains a bar and saloon and many original features from the interwar period. There is a pair of hand pumps in the saloon however real ale has been discontinued.

This pleasant interwar street corner pub is just off the busy Walworth Road. There are two separate rooms without an internal connection. Sports TV is shown in one room and the other is used for music events. There's a couple of new hand pumps but no real ale is available at present

A conversion to a public house which opened in early April 2018, set within a historic Georgian terrace slightly set back from the street, a former office for the CSEU and next door to what was once the headquarters of the Labour Party. Conservatively (no pun intended!) decorated and furnished around 3 sides of the bar. Bare-boarded, with walls a mix of bare brick and wallpaper. There are several old fireplaces open to view. There are toilets downstairs and perhaps better appointed rest rooms up two flights of stairs, investigate both to look for the differences. 4 handpumps. * Reopened under Portobello Brewing management in early August 2021 - beer range and other details are yet to be updated.
