Built in 1901, the pub is rumoured to be haunted as Anne Boleyn was from this area. Situated on the main road into Rochford town, opposite Southend Airport, the pub is easy to find. A Greene King Hungry Horse pub with an extensive menu is renowned in the area as being great value for money. A wide selection of drinks to accompany your meal including 2 real ales and craft beer. Children are welcome here with two secure outdoor play areas which include bouncy castles in the warmer weather. Large beer gardens surround the pub creating space for everyone

Cock Inn

Hall Road, Rochford SS4 1PD

The Cock Inn is located just outside the small market town of Rochford, in an affluent country area. The building was originally a 1700s farm house. Over the years it has been extended and given two or three different names. There was also a brewery to the back of the pub. Today it still has an olde worlde look with its oak beams and old fashioned fireplaces. Inside, the upstairs has a balcony looking down on the bar below and is popular for dining. This is a very safe, comfortable venue, attracting many women who feel happy to come in alone or in small groups to enjoy a meal or drink. The background music is low and there is no pool or other sports to spoil the atmosphere. Food can be chosen from a main menu offering good pub food at reasonable prices. There is an extensive range of wines to choose from to accompany your meal or a selection of real ales if preferred. Along with the patio area, we have a massive beer garden outside which is very popular during the summer months. A good place to sit and chill out whilst the little ones run off some energy

Four ales are served in this friendly, family owned community local. Some ales are from the wider Greene King range, but others are from smaller independent breweries such as Billericay, Colchester, Irwell Works and Tombstone. Live music most weekends with bands playing on the outdoor stage in the summer. Karaoke and quiz nights are held monthly along with events such as the annual three-legged charity race. Sports oriented with two dartboards and three large screen tv’s – one outside – showing a variety of sports.

A 1920's road house style corner pub in the Rochford conservation area. The single bar serves two distinct areas, a lively public bar with a pool table and a quieter saloon bar with a dartboard. The large patio area to the side and rear has a bar serving cocktails and cider in the Summer. Regular events are held such as curry and quiz nights and live bands often play at the weekend. Happy hours on Monday 5-7 , Tuesday 1- 3 and Friday 5-7 with beer £2.60 a pint.

This grade II listed weather boarded freehouse is a long standing guide entry and has won many local CAMRA awards. In addition to the three regular ales, four nationally sourced one from Tring, Cotleigh, Irwell Works and Mighty Oak are available along with real cider.
