United Services Club

Non members can gain entry by signing the visitors book inside the revolving front door, smart casual dress a must, no work clothes allowed. There is bingo 4 nights a week and entertainment on Fridays, there is also a games room with snooker, pool and darts plus a TV. This very comfortable club is over 18s only, guide dogs allowed.

Pirates Club

A private club where non members can only gain access if accompanied by a member. Ye Pirates has been around since 1928 and is housed in the former Harbour Inn. There are over 200 members at this exquisite men only club where each room is named for a ship's deck, much maritime memorabilia is in evidence and must be seen to be believed. Caricatures of members past and present adorn a wall in one room and stained glass in the ceiling of another alongside shipping sketches make this a quite unique and wonderful venue where jeans are allowed until 8pm.

Porthcawl Rugby Club

Central to virtually all sporting activity in the town the rugby club is also used by the cricket, football, squash and athletics clubs. The opening hours may be longer when there is an event taking place. Non members are welcome and can be assured of a friendly welcome. Pool and darts are played in the bar and rugby can be watched through the windows on less clement days.

Near the seafront and the Grand Pavilion, this hotel has been in the Good Beer Guide for 22 years and is a multiple award winner with good quality and value food (not Mondays). Four draught beers are available plus cider during the summer. Beer festivals are held twice a year on Grand National and Halloween weekends which are very popular with local residents and attract visitors from further afield. It was built around the end of the nineteenth century and during the First World War it was two separate buildings, one being used as a hospice for injured soldiers.
