Clive & Coffyne
6 Shropshire Street, Market Drayton TF9 3BY
A town centre Tudor house that was originally built in 1753 and was previously named after Market Drayton’s famous son Sir Robert Clive (of India) and curiously a French recipe for mutton pie, a coffyne, that was once served to its customers. The Clive as it is known locally offers 4 changing ales at the weekend with at least two on during the week and is one of only 4 free houses in the town. It has 3 open fires and a pleasant innkeeper that also boasts a large outside decking drinking area for the summer. The pub holds regular music nights in the function room. Local branch Pub and Cider Pub of the Year 2020
Kings Arms

Originally an old coaching house built in 1865 this has recently been tastefully extended and refurbished. A friendly every man and his dog’s pub it is a smallish in size which maintains two of the original rooms creating a cosy atmosphere one having a coal/log fire. The Arms is very much into rugby and football showing regular main events whilst serving the three regular ales and is one of only 4 free houses in the town.

Clean and tidy pub that has moved into the "Gastro" market. Reasonable kept beer at a very reasonable price.
Sandbrook Vaults
4 Shropshire Street, Market Drayton TF9 3BY
You are guaranteed a warm welcome from the Landlord and this Joules pub. With well kept beer from the local brewery 200 yards away it has the familiar Joules wooden interior that is pleasing on the eye with the beer even better on the taste buds. The pub holds regular high quality live acoustic music nights on a Thursday and Sunday showing good regional musicians, that in its self is worth a visit and regular bi-monthly quiz nights in aid of charity.
Salopian Star
21 Stafford Street, Market Drayton TF9 1HX
Arguably the oldest pub in the town and with its larger than life Landlord, Harvey, this is a friendly no frills old town boozer, what you see is what you get. It’s a little gem if you like that kind of pub with regular darts, dominoes and a bit of backgammon that serves a fair pint. Serving the 3 of the 5 ales produced from one of Shropshire’s youngest brewery, Plan B or New Brew as it is more commonly known that is based in Newport (Shropshire). Although they young they are certainly worth a try. In the summer it has a beautiful and colourful outside seating area. Paying public car park at the rear of the premises.
