A small, traditional free house, originally owned by the local saddler, in the village centre, a few steps from the Bridgewater Canal and close to Lymm Dam and the heritage walks. There is a cosy snug with a real fire to complement the larger bar area. The pub has a relaxed vibe with an emphasis on conversation and banter or just reading the paper. A popular meeting place for Formula One enthusiasts.

A large, multi-roomed hotel right in the village centre with a black and white frontage. Enter through the main door to the right and you enter the cosy snug area, with its real fire. Carry on through, and you reach the public bar. Both these rooms are quiet areas. Carry straight on through the main door and you enter the lounge area, with the restaurant beyond, and the rear garden and smoking area. The function room is well used, and you may sometimes hear the local Morris Dancers rehearsing. Quiz night Thursdays.
