17th century pub which has undergone a major refurbishment some 3/4 years ago. Large wooden interior and fittings with central fireplace and an emphasis on food (pasta dish is very filling). Bristol’s 5th Micropub opened 4th May 2019 in a former charity shop at the eastern end of the main street. The bar area as you enter is simply furnished and there is a small snug area at the rear. The beers and ciders for sale are displayed on retro-style computer screen on the wall. Board games are available to play and there is low-volume background music. Look out for regular tap takeovers from local breweries and some further afield.
