A reasonably sized one-room food orientated bar with retro style tables and benches or chairs. In keeping with the theme, there are a number of jungle animals either on the walls, or as figures. A light and airy ambiance and pleasant staff gives a welcoming feel. The menu features Gourmet Burgers including vegan options. There is unobtrusive music in the background.

OCT 2020 - Has reopened as Black Rooster Piri-Piri. A restaurant and takeaway. No longer sells alcoholic drinks. JAN 2020 - Has closed down allegedly due to liquidation. AUG 2018 - Has reopened as Sonder. Upstairs more a restaurant but there's a downstairs bar as well called Camera and accessed through a door at the right of the building. Opens 5pm to 1am Wed-Sun. The upper bar is quieter and more comfortably furnished. There are panoramic view of Haymarket station through the glazed frontage or from the outside terrace. The Innis and Gunn tank beer is not real ale. Popular with Tynecastle / Murrayfield sports fans. NOTE: Alcohol not served until 9am (Sunday 10am)

A split-level Victorian tenement bar close to the Union Canal and the Fountainbridge entertainment complex. The pub is a real ale showcase, with a great selection from smaller breweries UK-wide. The upstairs bar is pleasantly furnished with bench seating, tables and stools. The downstairs bar comes into its own at weekends, but real ale has to be carried down the steps. There is live music most Saturday evenings and a quiz on Tuesday evenings. Pies and toasties are available all day until 9pm. Children are not admitted.
