Comfortable, unpretentious, cosy wood-panelled bar with numerous pictures decorating the walls. The front area looks on to Leith Walk, the rear is divided into several smaller seating areas. The Real Ale is usually from a smaller Scottish brewery such as Cross Borders. Student deals are available. Pizzas from Origano can be ordered from 5pm to 10pm and are brought to the pub. A quiz is held on Wednesday evenings, chess and dominoes are available at other times. Children are not admitted.

It has modern décor and features several different areas with some booths, banquette seating and also some high tables and chairs. Whilst primarily a food led venue with a drinks emphasis on cocktails, the bar sports 6 handpumps with often 2-3 cask beers available including some from smaller Scottish breweries NOTE: Alcohol is not served until 11am (12.30 Sun)

Atmospheric live music venue (900 capacity) with three bars on the site of the former Sin night club. Also carries a good selection of bottled beers. Claims to have the biggest HD screen in Scotland. Notable ceilidh Weds all year (daily during the Fringe). NOTE: During the Fringe opens at 3pm Mon-Fri (food from 4pm) and is open until 5am daily.
