The Norman Arms is a traditional family-friendly local pub just off the main Derby ring road serving the local community. The large room at the rear has original wood panelling and a large real fire. The pub has darts and a pool table. No meals are served except for bar snacks.

Silk Mill Ale & Cider House

19 Full Street, Derby DE1 3AF

Built in 1928 to replace an even older pub of the same name, which in turn derived its name from the nearby mill where silk was first spun on John Lombe's factory system in 1722. The open-plan layout has three distinct areas consisting of a central bar, a dining area at the rear and the Offilers' Lounge through an arched opening to the right of the bar. Real ale and cider drinkers are well catered for with a changing selection of real ale and cider served from hand pump. Food is served up in imaginative and quirky ways. Monday Cask Ale club £2.95 all day.

Durham Ox

124 Burton Road, Derby DE1 1TG

The Durham Ox is situated on the corner of Burton Road and Gerard Street. Formally a classic two roomed pub, the bar has now been moved to one side and the rest knocked through to create a spacious single room. Does not sell real ale, despite having two hand-pumps on the bar.

The Merlin is situated on Pride Park towards Wilmorton. It is a large open plan Hungry Horse eatery style pub located in a business park. The decor is nicely done and there is ample seating to suit every taste from small tables to group booths. They serve a good range of food and also have a range of real ales and full choice of lagers and beers.

Quad Cafe Bar

Cafe-bar in Derby's visual arts gallery on the corner of the market place. The modestly-sized spartan-chic bar is popular with those seeking something to eat before a film, creative course or other event, or to discuss it over a drink or supper later. There is a pleasant outside area with additional tables and chairs from which customers can watch the various comings and goings in the Derby Market Place. The beer choice is generally a bit less inspiring than the building or the art.

The Club was formed in the late 1800's as the Spondon Conservative Club but has now transformed itself into the Spondon Village Club. It has a very nice interior which is very well decorated. The long bar serves a good range of real ale along with an extensive range of beers, lagers, wines and spirits. Live music acts provide good entertainment. Derby CAMRA Club of the Year 2019.

Derby Rowing Club

Derby Rowing Club is based beside the River Derwent close to the City Center. It has an upstairs club room with a bar that has a view over the river upstream into Darley Park. The bar situated on the left side of the room has a changing choice of real ales.

A large bungalow style Greene King Hungry Horse pub on the northern edge of Chaddesden. The pub stands up from the road and it consists of a large open plan area with the bar to the left and is very popular with local people. There is a large car park and a children's play area.
