Ale Station

The third micropub to open in Chorley, this bar is conveniently situated adjacent to the bus station and just across the road from the railway station. A modern looking venue with a wine bar feel, this inviting pub offers a full range of drinks. Up to nine changing real ales are served mainly sourced from north western micro breweries, although expect to find others from far and wide. There are also two changing real ciders. A state of the art digital display board provides full price information and real ale details, in addition to updated train times for the railway traveller. Pictures of old Chorley adorn the walls. This is one of Chorley's first micropubs, having opened in August 2016 and is a welcome additional to the real ale scene in the town. Spread over three distinct levels, there is a small drinking area with stools towards the entrance. A few steps lead up to the bar itself with a flight of stairs to the upper lounge area. Up to four cask ales are available, mainly from local breweries. A full range of other drinks are served including a good selection of bottled beers and gins.

The restaurant and bar are idyllically situated in the grounds of the old Duxbury Hall Estate. This historic location boasts scenic walks through picturesque woodland & the old Halls beautiful walled gardens. Also, Duxbury Park's 18 Hole championship Golf Course sits right on the doorstep. Clubhouse open until 8 p.m. in summer. No cask ale is currently served.

Nelipots Bar opened in June 2019 in Chorley's St George's Quarter, doubling as a micro-pub and cafe with two cask ales from local breweries on offer along with six keg lines serving continental lagers and cider. Located in one of the old weaver's cottages previously the home of Speak Easy and more recently Warp and Weft this is a welcome addition to the thriving micro-pub scene in this historic part of the town centre. The pub has lounges on the ground and first floors as well as a quaint dining room upstairs suitable for small numbers.

The Shed opened in November 2017 on Fazackerley Street in the town centre. The interior is lined with wood strips, giving the impression of being inside a garden shed - hence the name. During 2021 the business expanded, taking over the premises next door, aptly named, The Garden which is available for private bookings. Up to three cask ales are available, mainly sourced from smaller local breweries.
