Formerly the White Swan (affectionately known as the Mucky Duck), this friendly pub is opposite Chesterfield's famous Crooked Spire Parish Church. It is open plan split into two areas, one slightly raised. An upstairs function room is available for hire. Popular for food (home made Sunday roast recommended). The pub has live music on Saturdays and a quirky quiz on Tuesdays at 8pm. CAMRA discount is accepted on production of membership card.

This ex-William Stones pub (latterly Hardy's & Hansons), situated in the middle of the Brampton mile, has become the second Brampton brewery tied house, renovated by Everards under the Project William scheme. Cosy and friendly with a central bar, it has eight handpulled beers available at all times. A selection of Belgian and world beers are also available along with traditional ciders and perries. Free Wi-fi available. After a re-fit early 2019, the rear outbuilding has been converted in to a seated drinking area, together with a 'courtyard garden' of artificial grass.
