Large recently refurbished pub with open-plan bar, and restaurant area at the back. It has a large beer garden with ample seating and a lot of children's outdoor games including a climbing frame. All dogs are welcome - there is a dog station in the garden. Two pool tables and a dart board available all day long (pool tables free on Tuesdays). Most main meals half price on Thursday. Kids' parties at Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Single room, traditional pub, recently refurbished (2018). Regular live music plus karaoke every Friday, and BT Sport is shown. Lunchtime menu in the week plus a burger bar in the garden when weather permits. There is a pool table and mens' and womens' darts teams.

It is an easy walk from the town centre to this award-winning friendly, Victorian local. There are three rooms with a lounge area overlooking the large garden. Darts and a pool table are in a smaller room. Pub grub is served, specialising in different flavoured sausages, with light snacks until 11pm. Food also available on the first Sunday of the month for Jazz Night. Quiz on Tuesdays. Beer festivals at Easter and the first weekend in September with up to 80 beers, ciders and perries.
